Our 2024-25 Victorian Budget submission is out now

Council to Homeless Persons has released its 2024-25 Victorian Budget submission. It states that our homelessness system stands at a critical juncture, and that the government must urgently address the immediate housing crisis, whilst simultaneously developing and investing in a strategy to end homelessness in Victoria. To achieve this, we have asked for funding across seven important measures.

Contribute to Parity edition on older single women

Contributions are now being sought for the May edition of Parity magazine: “Right on the Edge: Housing Insecurity, Homelessness and Older Single Women”. This issue will be devoted to furthering the understanding the causes and consequences of housing insecurity and homelessness experienced by many older single women living on low incomes.

Person-Centred Practice Guide

Person-centred practice seeks to partner with people who are without a home to deliver holistic, strengths-based and trauma responsive services, centering practice on what is safe and meaningful to people seeking support.

CHP’s new Person-Centred Practice Guide has been developed to assist the SHS workforce develop a shared language and understanding about what a person-centred approach to service provision is and how to integrate it into current practice.
