Council to Homeless Persons (CHP) is committed to ending homelessness in Australia and believes homelessness requires a community-wide response.

As former Prime Minister Kevin Rudd wrote in the foreword to Australian government’s plan to address homelessness The Road Home: A National Approach to Reducing Homelessness:

‘In a country as prosperous as Australia, no one should be homeless….. Reducing homelessness is everyone’s responsibility. Australia’s efforts to reduce homelessness have to be urgent, as well as sustained.’
