Victoria’s homelessness crisis has reached unprecedented levels, and ending it will take an all-of-society partnership. The homelessness sector must come together with intersecting sectors, lived experience experts, state and federal governments, local councils, the business sector, philanthropy and the general public to:
- improve understanding of the nature of homelessness – and how to end it;
- find innovative new collaborations that improve outcomes for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness; and
- rally a statewide call for urgent change.
This year’s Conference theme, Building together, and for each other is a starting point to explore new potential partners in the work to end homelessness, and new ways we can collaborate. To consider the power of coalitions, while also respecting and committing ourselves to the unique needs of different cohorts and regions.
