At CHP’s 2024 Annual General Meeting on Thursday 14 November, members voted to fill four Board vacancies.

Natalie McDonald, Paul Turton and Stephen Schmidtke were all re-elected to their Board positions. We welcome them for another term.

And we welcome new Board Member Andrea Dwyer, who was elected to the fourth position.

Andrea brings over 30 years of experience in the Child, Youth, and Family sector, with expertise at an operational and executive level in out-of-home care, family violence, homelessness and community services. As Director of Innovation at Anglicare Victoria, she oversees strategic initiatives, driving creative solutions to complex challenges. Passionate about ending homelessness, Andrea is dedicated to creating change for care leavers, women and children escaping violence, and overrepresented groups, including First Nations people. She is experienced in strategic planning, program development, and design thinking, with a focus on delivering programs and projects that have meaningful impact.

In other changes, as reported in our previous blog article, Jane Barnes has resigned as Chair of CHP after volunteering on our Board for 17 years. Deputy Chair Celia Adams will serve as Acting Chair until a vote is held to fill this position at CHP’s December Board meeting.
