About

The International Day of Families is an annual day reflecting the importance of families, providing an opportunity to promote awareness of issues relating to families as well as to promote appropriate action.

The day is commemorated to highlight the important affairs central to the welfare of families, such as health, education, gender equality, rights for children, and social inclusion among others.

The theme for 2022 is Families and Urbanisation to raise awareness of the importance of sustainable and family-friendly urban policies.
