Pre-budget Submission 2013–14

23.12.12

The aftermath of the Global Financial Crisis and the end of the Australian Government’s economic stimulus package has meant a tightening of the Victorian budget. However the impact of economic change is also being felt by those with the least resources to fall back on, and we have recently seen an alarming increase in the rate of homelessness in Victoria, rising 20 per cent in the last five years.

In tight economic times it becomes even more important to ensure we are using our resources in the best possible way to assist the most vulnerable in our community.
