The Victorian Government can choose to end homelessness now. But without decisive investment in the 2026/2027 budget, this opportunity will be lost – and tens of thousands of Victorians will pay the price.

In our 2026/2027 budget submission, we urge the government to seize this moment and invest in the priority areas of prevention, crisis response, and social housing. By acting with vision and empathy, the government can deliver the bold reform we need to secure housing justice for Victoria.

CHP is proud to announce #EveryHomeIsAFuture, a major new initiative rallying a community movement throughout Victoria, calling on all political parties to commit to real action to end homelessness.

At the centre of the campaign is our touring exhibition “Walk In Her Shoes”, which will introduce communities to the hidden face of homelessness by telling the story of three women who experienced homelessness at different stages of life: as a young person, as a middle-aged mother, and as an older Victorian.

Coinciding with the exhibition at each stop in the tour will be a local forum bringing together community leaders with homelessness practitioners, lived experience experts, local council representatives and state MPs to discuss the actions needed to end homelessness in their community.
